We at Liberty Drums build our own products from raw timber and hand craft variations of well formed shells using the best traditional and modern techniques to produce some outstanding results.
The Liberty Drums range of kits and snares have already received outstanding recognition from within the UK across the entire range, for the build quality and overall sound production. We are extremely proud of our products and take great pleasure in offering these to our customers and artists. Although we specialise in building high quality bespoke drums we also have a focus on growing our pre configured ranges to offer wallet friendly prices to the customer who can buy a kit that rivals a high end one off build.
Our products
Each shell is manufactured with a different approach depending on the depth and diameter of the required drum. We have developed purpose built moulds and tooling enabling us to manufacture your perfectly formed shells with the desired thickness and ultimate durability. There are limitless selections of timbre’s and veneers available to us which we work with to put something very special together. Throughout our website we have testimonials and video demonstrations of our products so please check them out to get a feel on how they look and sound.
Why Liberty Drums?
You don’t have to look too hard to discover that the modern drum market is flooded with manufacturers. So what sets Liberty Drums apart from these other companies? Simply this: the quality and craftsmanship of our products and our great ‘Value added’ service!
Phrases like ‘Quality and Value added services’ are easy to write in adverts but at Liberty Drums we believe it’s important to “walk the talk” when you make claims like this. Our mission is to be as good as our word and make it as hard as possible for you to find a reason not to use a Liberty product.
Please feel free to contact us whether you choose to buy from us or not. We are happy to provide good advice and guidance for new starters and for the more experienced drummer.

Everything begins with the selection of the finest timber to make your shell.
Next, the ply or veneer is measured and precisely cut in readiness to be placed in the mould. Each ply section is coated with a special glue component and carefully manipulated into place within our solid walled moulds.
It is very important that each layer butts up perfectly throughout outer and middle plies, something mass produced shells sometimes don’t always achieve.
Once we have each ply glued and in place we then apply external pressure using our purpose built moulds. We don’t use any heat methods during the bonding but leave the natural drying process to take its course whilst in the mould.
Next, your drums are extracted from the moulds and bearing edges precisely cut. The shells are carefully sanded and bearing edges precisely cut ready for the finishing stages.
Your drum is now ready for the drilling stage with each fixing point precisely marked and drilled by hand.
Next we add the lugs, floating system, heads, and the final touch with our Liberty badge.
Once assembled, your drums are carefully packed, and are finally ready to be shipped.
The most important thing is that each step of the production stage your drums go through a quality control process in fine detail to ensure the finished product is exactly how you want it.
Each element of your drums are cut, glued, sanded, coloured/ sprayed, drilled and parts all fitted by hand.
